Meghan Markle delighted royal fans on Tuesday as she shared an entire album of stunning unseen photographs from her wedding to Prince Harry – including a secret link to Prince William And Kate.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, and her husband are celebrating eight years of marriage after their spectacular royal wedding at St George's Chapel in Windsor back in 2018.
To celebrate the occasion, Meghan shared a slew of black-and-white photographs to her personal Instagram account, captioned: "Eight years ago today", crediting the couple's "wonderful" photographer, Chris Allerton.
While Meghan appeared to carefully select her photographs to exclude members of the royal family from view, a surprising figure could be seen in some of the pictures.
Maria Teresa Turrión Borrallo, William and Kate's Norland nanny, was seen in the background of several snaps, in her role looking after the couple's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
A loyal figure
Prince Harry and Meghan were seen exchanging loving glances just moments after their wedding ceremony in front of millions.
In the background, Maria was seen gently guiding the children along, ensuring that everybody was well behaved. She had a very busy day, as Prince George, then four, served as page boy, while Princess Charlotte, then aged three, was a bridesmaid.
She ditched her traditional Norland uniform, worn by nannies who study at the prestigious Norland College in Bath, for a simple and elegant navy dress.
In another picture, she appeared to be having a conversation with Harry, while his new bride watched on.
In March this year, Maria was rewarded for her services as she received the Royal Victorian Medal in silver from Prince William at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle. The honour is awarded by the King for loyal service to the monarch or member(s) of the royal family.
Opening up the wedding album
Prince Harry and Meghan are likely celebrating at home with their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, four, back home in Montecito, after Meghan's trip to Geneva.
Another post included several photos of the couple taking centre stage on the dance floor during the wedding reception, while another showed the pair sharing a passionate kiss while surrounded by their guests.
While some of the photos were shown in the Harry & Meghan Netflix documentary, which was released in 2022, Meghan also shared some previously unseen images.
The couple's wedding, which featured guests including Oprah Winfrey and Serena Williams, remains one of the most widely watched royal events in recent history. Since then, Harry and Meghan have stepped back from royal duties and now live in California, though they continue much of their work through Archewell Philanthropies
