Charles Spencer has welcomed an adorable new addition to the family just days after his wedding to new bride Cat Jarman.
The Earl, 61, married the archaeologist, 43, earlier this month before returning home last week – and it wasn't long before the newlyweds had some exciting news to share.
The couple has welcomed a baby alpaca – a cria – to their existing family of animals on the Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire.
Charles shared an adorable picture of the new arrival, less than a day old, on his Instagram account, showing the fluffy new arrival sweetly hobbling around after her mother.
They have given the newborn a very special name, calling her "Sedona" after their Arizona wedding venue in the US.
"Welcome to the world, Sedona!" Princess Diana's younger brother wrote on Instagram.
He added: "This beautiful alpaca cria (baby) was born this morning, and has been happily up and about for most of the day, settling into life here under her mother Tyra’s watchful eye. A lot of gentle humming between mother and daughter.
"Sedona is named after the spot in America where @catjarman and I were married last week."
Cat added: "What a wedding present to come back to! The first of our little crias was born this morning. Meet Tyra’s baby Sedona 😍 She’s impossibly tiny but doing really well."
Congratulations are in order!
Charles and Cat tied the knot on 15 May, posing for stunning wedding photographs in front of the famous Cathedral Rock in Sedona.
The author said it was the "happiest day ever", while his bride looked beautiful in a light blue dress, featuring a V-shaped neckline and billowing skirt.
The couple has been dating for two years, following Charles's divorce from Countess Karen Spencer, with whom he shares a daughter, Charlotte, born in 2012.
The Earl was first married to model Victoria Aitken (née Lockwood) for eight years, from 1989 to 1997. They wed at St Mary's Church in Great Brington, with Prince Harry as a pageboy. They share four children together - Lady Kitty, 35, twins Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia, 33, and Viscount Louis, 32.
His second wife was Caroline Freud, the ex-wife of businessman Matthew Freud, to whom he was married for six years. They had two children together, the Hon. Edmund, born in 2003, and Lady Lara, 20.
Cat was previously married to ex-husband Tom Jarman and is the mother of two sons.
A very busy Althorp Estate
Charles also shared a video of his cat, Rudy, as temperatures soared in the UK on Bank Holiday Monday.
Purring barn cat Rudy had managed to find a rare spot of shade, as Charles could be heard saying: "It's not too shabby is it? It's quite nice."
He said: "Rudy - in charge of rodent control - has found a shady retreat in which to get away from today’s heat - “the hottest May Day on record” in the UK."
Peacocks Tim and Jim live on the estate, alongside a Labrador, and sheep called Minty and Lucky.
