As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly enjoying a family holiday in mainland Europe, HELLO! understands the Duke of Sussex is now considering his options regarding bringing his family to the United Kingdom in July.
The Sussexes were scheduled to be in Britain for five days, with the Duke and Duchess conducting several engagements connected to Harry's Invictus Games. It was reported in June 2026 that Harry and Meghan would also bring their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet; the family was due to stay at a mix of private and royal residences.
However, as no formal decision has been reached over Harry's security arrangements, the Duke is now unsure whether to include his children.
The children were not due to appear at any engagements.
The Telegraph reported that while Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet might not join their father for the whole trip, they could be flown in and out of the United Kingdom in a single day. Their visit would likely see them reunite with their grandfather, King Charles.
It was also reported that Harry was hoping to take his children to visit their late grandmother, Princess Diana's gravesite.
What are Prince Harry's plans while in the UK?
The Duke of Sussex will begin his trip with an Invictus Games Foundation event at Chatham House, which will bring together experts, policymakers and members of the Invictus Community to discuss issues affecting the wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans. Uganda will also be announced as the 26th nation to join the Games.
The next engagement was due to involve Meghan, as the pair would've carried out their first joint engagements in the UK since 2020 by meeting Chelsea pensioners at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
As Patron of Wellchild, Harry is also due to visit the Birmingham Children's Hospital to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first WellChild Nurse.
At the NEC, Harry will watch and take part in a series of events alongside competitors from previous Invictus Games.
The event will mark the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham and showcase the classic and new adaptive sports being planned for it.
The Duke will also join bereaved military children supported by Scotty's Little Soldiers at the Scotty's Summer Festival at Maxstoke Castle in Warwickshire.
It is believed that during his visit, Harry will find time to see his father, whom he last saw in person in September 2025.
During their meeting, the pair spent 50 minutes together during a private tea.
