Prince George is now almost as tall as his mother, Princess Kate, as they stepped out together on Saturday.
The future king, 12, joined his mum, 44, as they visited the RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire to honour Armed Forces Day.
Kate and George took turns sitting in the cockpit of various historic military aircraft during the trip. For the young prince, who is second in line to the throne, the moment offered an early glimpse of the military traditions and royal responsibilities he is expected to inherit as king.
But it was a photo of the pair standing next to each other that got royal fans talking as George is already nearly as tall as his mother.
One Instagram user commented on the video and wrote: "Excuse me but when did George become all grown up?" Another added: "Where the time flies, I was in high school when he was born!"
It's no surprise Prince George will be tall given his genetics: Prince William stands at 6'3" while Kate is 5'9".
The video, shared to the Prince and Princess of Wales' Instagram account, was captioned: "Marking Armed Forces Day by reflecting on time spent with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby.
"Learning about the extraordinary history of these aircraft and meeting the pilots and engineers who keep their legacy alive. A powerful reminder of the courage, skill and dedication of those who serve, past and present. Thank you to all those who have served and continue to serve."
George looked smart wearing a navy-blue suit jacket, under which he wore a blue collared shirt while Kate looked as elegant as always in a slick, tweed jacket.
Flying lessons
Prince George has always had an affinity for aviation and reportedly had a private flying lesson back in 2024.
According to the Sun, the Prince and Princess of Wales's eldest child flew with an instructor as his parents watched from the ground at White Waltham Airfield near Maidenhead, Berks, a 20-minute drive from their Windsor home.
George enjoyed an hour's lesson at the airfield on the last day of the school summer holidays.
George's younger brother, Prince Louis, eight, also has a passion for aviation, and it was previously revealed he'd like to be a fighter pilot one day.
The confession came last October when Kate made her first visit to RAF Coningsby, where she took control of a flight simulator.
There, she confessed Louis' dream but added: "I'm going to tell them (her children) it takes eight years and a lot of hard work."
