Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still "looking at options" for security ahead of their UK visit next week, HELLO! understands.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, will be returning to the UK next week for a series of engagements related to his Invictus Games, but it's still not confirmed whether Meghan and their two children will be joining him.
It's understood that Harry's security team is still looking at options to make the visit work in some form, so that Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, can come to the UK. However, with just days to go, an official decision is yet to be made.
Harry previously said he would be "exploring every possible option" to ensure that the visit, from 7 to 11 July, would go ahead.
It would mark Meghan's first visit to the UK since 2022, when she attended the funeral events for the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Archie and Lilibet have not visited Britain since the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations that year; however, the family enjoyed a family holiday in Europe last week.
What is the situation with Prince Harry's security?
Prince Harry and Meghan's 24-hour, automatic and taxpayer-funded security was removed when they stepped down as working royals in 2020 and moved to the US.
Harry has since faced a court battle to reinstate it, previously stating that he would not feel comfortable bringing his family to the UK until this had happened.
He has claimed he was promised a review of his security each year, known as a Risk Management Board, but this hasn't happened since he and Meghan moved to California six years ago.
A previous statement from Harry's spokesman said: "The issue is whether appropriate and proportionate protective security is being provided throughout the entirety of the visit.
"The independent Risk Management Board that RAVEC itself decided was necessary last November has still not taken place.
"It is therefore difficult to understand how the proportionality of the current arrangements can credibly be maintained without that independent assessment."
What will Prince Harry and Meghan be doing during their visit to the UK?
The Duke of Sussex will begin his trip with an Invictus Games Foundation event at Chatham House, which will bring together experts, policymakers and members of the Invictus Community.
The next engagement will potentially involve Meghan, with the pair carrying out their first joint engagements in the UK since 2020 by meeting Chelsea pensioners at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
As Patron of Wellchild, Harry is also due to visit the Birmingham Children's Hospital to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first WellChild Nurse.
At the NEC, Harry will watch and take part in a series of events alongside competitors from previous Invictus Games.
There are also some potential family plans, though these have not been confirmed. Harry will potentially bring his children to visit their late grandmother, Princess Diana, and her final resting place on Althorp Estate, according to The Sun.
It is believed that during his visit, Harry will find time to see his father, King Charles, whom he last saw in person in September 2025.
