The Princess of Wales is a title that has been used for over 700 years, but perhaps the two most famous holders are the late Diana, Princess of Wales and the current Princess of Wales, Catherine.

While they never met, the two royal women are often compared. Catherine, married to Prince William, is the future Queen and mother of a future King, George. While Diana was the late mother to the first-in-line to the throne, William.

Both Princesses have shaped the monarchy in their own unique way and their relationship to the Crown is the subject of royal author Ingrid Seward's new book, Catherine & Diana, which is out in September.

To celebrate these two iconic Princesses of Wales, HELLO! is hosting an intimate event – a live recording of A Right Royal Podcast – on Wednesday 23 September at Quaglino's – and you're invited! You'll have early access to Ingrid's book, before it officially hits shelves later that week.

Mayfair hotspot Quaglino's, famed for its live music and luxurious art deco setting, couldn't be more fitting for our live podcast recording. It is steeped in royal history: the late Queen famously visited in 1956, making her the first British reigning monarch to eat out at a public restaurant.

Princess Diana herself would also frequent Quaglino's between 1995 and 1997, slipping in through the sidedoor so as not to be followed by paparazzi, while Princess Margaret had a permanently reserved table near the dance floor, dubbed the 'royal enclosure'. Other royals who have also been spotted at Quaglino's, just a stone's throw away from St James's Palace, include Prince Harry.

Our hosts of A Right Royal Podcast, Emily Nash, Andrea Caamano, and Emmy Griffiths, will be quizzing Ingrid on the real Diana and Catherine. Step beyond the headlines as our royal experts share their anecdotes about meeting the two Princesses, their take on how these royal women have influenced the monarchy, what Catherine's supporting role during her husband William's reign will look like, and much more.

We will also open the floor to you, our valued audience, for a Q&A session. Afterwards, Ingrid will be available to sign copies of her new book, which you can buy on the day and which won't be released to the general public until later that week.

Upon arrival, guests will be treated to a welcome drink and delicious canapés. And you'll also go home with a goodie bag filled with treats including beauty products.
