No birthday celebration is complete without cake, and the Duchess of Sussex enjoyed a magnificent custom-made creation to mark her 45th birthday on Tuesday.
Her close friend, Tracy Robbins, offered a peek into the special day in a photo montage posted on social media, featuring a snapshot of Meghan blowing out her candles and another of her enjoying a game of mahjong.
"Happy birthday to my partner in crime. Love doing life with you one bam bird at a time," Tracy penned, referencing the tile-based game. "Love you @meghan," she added.

The Sussex family has long held an affinity for hummingbirds, which are symbols of love, joy, and affection. In their 2021 Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, the couple gave fans a glimpse inside their Montecito home. In one heartwarming moment, Prince Harry and his son watched hummingbirds feed from their balcony. Though, like many toddlers, Archie was soon distracted by his own feet, adorably announcing, "I've got a dirty foot, mama!"
In an episode of Meghan's 2025 Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, the entrepreneur revealed that she and her friends had recently learned how to play mahjong and referred to themselves as the Maj Squad.

Meghan's 45th birthday
Meghan, who is married to Prince Harry, also shared a glimpse of her birthday celebrations with her followers. Taking to Instagram, the As Ever founder posted a black-and-white photograph capturing her gleefully leaping into a swimming pool with her arms thrown into the air.
In the caption, Meghan expressed her gratitude for the birthday wishes she received, writing: "Thank you for the birthday love!"
Meghan's lifestyle brand, As Ever, also paid tribute to its founder. Sharing a collection of images that included a throwback photo of the Duchess as a young girl, the brand's post read: "Happy birthday to our founder, @meghan." Making a nod to one of the brand's signature candle scents, the caption added: "Lighting No. 084 to celebrate!"
A joyous day for the royal family
It was a joyous day for the royal family, as Meghan's birthday coincided with Princess Eugenie announcing the birth of her third child. Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, welcomed their first daughter on Monday, 3 August, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.

Announcing the news on social media, the 36-year-old shared an adorable snap of the newborn baby girl with the caption: "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie."
