Princess Eugenie has announced the arrival of her third child, a baby girl, with her husband Jack Brooksbank. The youngest daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson shared the happy news on social media, accompanied by a sweet photograph of the newborn, who was seen wearing a pastel pink babygrow and a blue hat adorned with heart and butterfly drawings.
In a statement issued on Instagram, Eugenie, 35, wrote: "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie."
Eugenie gave birth at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal, on Monday evening, Buckingham Palace said. The baby was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces.
The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family are said to be delighted.
Royal fans were quick to issue their congratulations to the happy couple, with well-wishes flooding in via social media. Eugenie and Jack, who tied the knot in October 2018, welcomed their first son, August, in February 2021 and their second son, Ernest, in May 2023.
The new arrival will come as a welcome source of happiness for the York family following renewed scrutiny from Eugenie's parents' links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew has faced increased scrutiny since his arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office while serving as the UK's trade envoy. He was held in custody for 11 hours on his 66th birthday.
As a direct result of these scandals, King Charles III stripped Andrew of his remaining titles and evicted the former couple from their 30-room Royal Lodge mansion.

The businessman, who was privately educated at Stowe school in Buckinghamshire, went straight into a hospitality career after his A-levels.
A jack of all trades, Eugenie's beau was the manager of London nightclub Mahiki and previously worked as the UK ambassador of George Clooney and Rande Gerber's tequila brand, Casamigos.

She wrote: "Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs.
"He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already."

She was cared for at the £6.7k per night delivery suite where Meghan Markle and her mother Sarah had given birth before her. The private hospital in Westminster is known for being one of the best in the UK for midwifery care.
Princess Eugenie's 'mind-blowing' experience of motherhood

Speaking during an interview for the Anti-Slavery Collective, Eugenie touched upon how having kids has influenced her work with the charity, which she co-founded with close friend Julia de Boinville in 2017.
"Becoming a parent is the most special, mind-blowing experience of a person's life," Eugenie said. "My children make my world go around. It’s made me hungrier to do the work. I want to educate my children and all young people about being vulnerable, sensitive, and empathetic towards each other. I don’t want anyone to reach the age of 21 having not heard about modern slavery, like I did."
