The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, shared a glimpse of her 45th birthday celebrations with her social media followers on Tuesday. Celebrating the day in style, the former actress posted a joyous duo of black-and-white photographs capturing her gleefully leaping into a swimming pool.
In the photo, Meghan, who is married to Prince Harry, throws her arms into the air, while a celebratory collection of birthday balloons floats in front of a tree behind her.
In the caption, Meghan expressed her gratitude to her followers for the birthday wishes she received, writing: "Thank you for the birthday love!"
Meghan's lifestyle brand, As Ever, also took the opportunity to pay a special tribute to its founder. Sharing a carousel of images that included a throwback photo of the Duchess as a youngster, the brand's post read: "Happy birthday to our founder, @meghan." Making a nod to one of the brand's signature candle scents, the caption added: "Lighting No. 084 to celebrate!"
Meghan is undoubtedly spending her big day surrounded by her family, including husband Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five.

Meghan's birthday follows a busy few weeks for the entrepreneur.
In July, the mother-of-two stepped out in Los Angeles to attend a screening for Cookie Queens, a documentary about the Girl Scouts on which she serves as an executive producer.

Meghan, who donned an all-cream ensemble, paired with brown open-toed sandals, shared a piece of advice her husband once gave to her whilst speaking at a Q&A at the premiere. "I was thinking about something my husband told me ages ago, we all go through experiences, life is full of surprises," she began. "But, you know, he was a helicopter pilot in the British Army for ten years. And sometimes on really hard days, he was like, 'My love, you know, even if there's a storm happening, above the storm, the sun's always shining'. And that's a perspective that only comes from zooming out a little bit."
The same month, Meghan made her debut appearance as a judge of MasterChef Australia, filling in for Andy Allen, who is on paternity leave.

"Oh, we're so excited. We love Australia," she said.
"We had the most sentimental, amazing time. We were here almost eight years ago. We announced we were pregnant with Archie at the time. So, it's full circle; here we are, but thrilled to be here with all of you and taste some really good food. I've heard you've been cooking up a storm this season," she added.
