It's been 118 days since Sarah Ferguson was last photographed in public, and the royal's whereabouts continue to be a mystery.
Last week, Sarah's daughter Princess Eugenie celebrated the birth of her third child, a daughter, with her husband Jack Brooksbank. But even amid the major family news, the former Duchess of York stayed silent and kept her cover.
The disgraced royal has been staying under-the-radar since late last year following revelations about her friendship with convicted paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein. After her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his titles in October, the former couple were evicted from their home in Windsor, Royal Lodge, leaving Sarah's living situation up in the air. While Andrew took up residence at his brother King Charles' Sandringham Estate, Sarah was reported to have relocated overseas.
Last time she was photographed
After her whereabouts sparked much speculation, the former Duchess finally resurfaced at a mountain hideaway in the Austrian Alps four months ago. On 16 April, Sarah was photographed at a £2,000-a-night resort near the Mayrlife Medical Health Resort in Altaussee, Austria, in images published by The Sun newspaper.
The former Duchess was pictured wearing a blue coat and keeping a low profile in a white baseball cap. However, since she was pictured four months ago, the royal has disappeared from public view once again.
An earlier rare sighting
Before emerging in Austria, the last time Sarah had been photographed was seven months earlier at her granddaughter's christening.
Sarah previously stepped out in London on 12 December, 2025, to attend the christening of Princess Beatrice's daughter, Athena, at the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace. She was pictured arriving to the family gathering by herself in the back of a car.
While she's continued to stay off the grid, Sarah was most recently reported to have secretly arrived in Portugal last week to support her daughter Eugenie post-birth. The disgraced royal allegedly travelled to the quiet village of Melides near Lisbon, which is where Eugenie and her husband Jack have settled away from the royal spotlight.
HELLO!'s royal editor, Emily Nash, previously wrote that Sarah will find it difficult to stay away from her new granddaughter. "This baby will be born into very different family dynamics to those experienced by his or her older siblings. While their grandmother and grandfather have spent plenty of time with August and Ernest, they are likely to keep more of a distance this time around, although I’m sure Sarah will find it very hard to stay away from a new grandchild."
