James Middleton and his family were among the many in the UK who couldn't wait to watch the solar eclipse unfold last night.
The Princess of Wales' brother set up to watch the natural phenomenon outside with his golden retrievers and his toddler son, who looked ever so grown up with the blondest hair ahead of his birthday next month. Two-year-old Inigo adorably pointed to the sky in a heartwarming behind-the-scenes photo shared by his dad on Instagram to mark the special father-son moment.
The toddler, who was dressed for the warm summer weather in a striped tee, shorts and trainers, was enamoured as he watched the sunset beside the family's two golden retrievers, Mabel and Isla, and a plush toy dog. Inigo's hair looked so long and just as blonde as his mum Alizée Thevenet's.

Inigo's home life
While his cousins are being raised in the royal spotlight, Inigo is growing up in the Berkshire countryside. James and his family have settled in a gorgeous 16th-century Grade II-listed farmhouse with sprawling gardens.

"Alizee only speaks to him in French and I only speak to him in English, so he’s in that sort of Duolingo aspect of [being] slightly slower in speaking, but sentences will be half-French, half-English. It’s wonderful to watch," he said.
According to James, his son is oblivious to the royal status of his cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. "I think we’re really fortunate to be a very close family, and so we get together as a family relatively regularly, and love that opportunity," James told HELLO!.
"There’s seven grandchildren, so six cousins for him, and it’s wonderful them spending time together and making memories."

James will be celebrating Inigo's third birthday next month. The Princess of Wales' brother welcomed his son with his wife Alizée in September 2023, opening up to HELLO! exclusively a year later about becoming a father.
"No matter how much people say to you about how wonderful it is, or how it will change your life, nothing can ever prepare you for that experience of seeing a little baby that's yours arrive. It unlocks something in your heart that you didn't know was there," he told us at the time.
