Prince William remained silent as he was questioned about his uncle Earl Spencer's new book while arriving at a cinema on Tuesday.
The Prince of Wales, 44, kept his head down as he was asked how he "felt" about Swan Song: Diana my Sister, Charles Spencer's memoir about the late Princess Diana.
As he walked up the steps of the ActOne community cinema in Acton, William was asked: "Sir, how do you feel about your uncle's book?" Another person asked: "Have you read it?"
The Prince did not answer and entered the cinema, where he spent around an hour meeting young filmmakers and representatives from the Film and TV charity.
© Anadolu via Getty ImagesHe also served popcorn to cinema-goers and attempted to work the till to sell tickets, joking: "Sorry, I've made this very slow, I apologise."
He was clearly tempted by the cinema snack himself, calling the smell "very alluring", saying it was the "most moreish thing in the world".
The cinema was opened in 2021 after the former library was transformed by a group of more than 100 volunteers.

Charles Spencer releases his Princess Diana memoir, Swan Song
Charles Spencer's new book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, went on sale for the first time on Tuesday – after a series of high-profile interviews and controversy following claims made in its serialisation in the Daily Mail.
The book marks the first time that Earl Spencer, 62, who is uncle to Prince William and Prince Harry, has spoken at length about his sibling, three decades after her death.

It sparked an "unprecedented" response from Buckingham Palace, which said, "the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason".
Earl Spencer spoke of how Charles’s phone call following the car crash in 1997 "all sounded strangely matter-of-fact".
© Tim Graham Photo Library via GetIn other passages of the book, Earl Spencer spoke of how his sister drove "more than once" to the cliffs at Beachy Head in East Sussex and was "contemplating ending it all", adding that "her love for her sons stopped her from going further".
The excerpt later goes on to claim that Diana told her brother “my husband is in love with his valet” after telling him she was going to get divorced.

Prince William's cinema trip in London comes as part of a day celebrating the British Film Industry.

They are attending to support the Royal Film Performance, as it will be the 73rd film delivered by the charity.
William, who is president of BAFTA, is passionate about championing the British cinema industry, and Digger was filmed at Pinewood Studios in the UK.
