On Sunday morning, King Charles was spotted braving the seasonal weather, making the decision to walk to St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham as opposed to taking a car. The 77-year-old looked sprightly and in great spirits as he was pictured.
Royal fans were surprised at this, as they expected the father of two to be driven from Sandringham House to the nearby church on his Norfolk estate to avoid the risk of falling branches, since Storm Boelo has brought heavy rain and winds of up to 80mph to the UK.
Several large trees on his estate fell over in Storm Boelo, causing destruction. One large tree from his estate fell on the A149, which blocked the road.
Another large chunk of a tree was seen falling onto a nearby path while the King was in the church service. Afterwards, he was seen talking to Edward Parsons, the estate manager, and pointing to the fallen branches.
King Charles Caribbean tour
The King's latest sighting comes ahead of his busy upcoming week, in which the monarch is due to fly to the Caribbean.
On Tuesday, Charles and Queen Camilla will begin their tour, which will see them travel to three countries in nine days: the Bahamas, Guyana and finally Antigua and Barbuda for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. The tour - planned for 27 October to 4 November - will "celebrate the communities, cultures and nature within the Commonwealth family," Buckingham Palace said.
Prince Harry shares a 'health update' on King Charles
The King's youngest son, Prince Harry, revealed that his father is "getting better" when asked about his health in an interview this week.
The Duke of Sussex, 42, who is not believed to have seen his father in person since returning to the UK in August, spoke to GQ's Zach Baron during his September visit to New York City, with the interview released during Tuesday's Omani State Visit.
"I would think having suffered the traumatic death of a parent, that something like this could be very triggering in that respect... having a sick parent now," Zach said, speaking of Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, who tragically died in a car crash in Paris when he was just 12 years old.
Referencing his father, Harry responded: "Yeah, but he's getting better."
