Harriet Phillips has been adapting to her new life as a member of the royal family after marrying Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips, in June.
Previously, she worked as a paediatric nurse in the NHS, so there have been plenty of changes for the mother-of-one, but thankfully, she can depend on her husband to keep her grounded.
Speaking to HELLO! in a world exclusive, she shared: "Hopefully, having my feet firmly on the ground beforehand is the most important thing. If you've been through tricky things, you learn who you are and you don't get lost."
She continued: "Peter really helps; he's grounding, because this is his normal. This is not my normal. But I have to thank my parents for being wonderful and giving me a wholesome, stable upbringing. I hope that’s what I've given my daughter."
Harriet has recently left the NHS in order to take on a new role as the patron of Home-Start Cotswolds, a charity that helps families with young children through challenging times.
"It brings me back to Home-Start. If we can support parents with young children and help with a stable base in those early years, people have better outcomes in life," she added.
When asked about the biggest adjustments to her life since marrying into the royal family, Harriet revealed: "The biggest one is having a new shape of a family. I'm now married and that’s a pleasurable adjustment, because it’s so lovely having somebody to share life and experiences with. And trying to fit everything in!
"I've been working full-time and raising a child – it was a juggle, but I'm finding some ways to balance it now."
Harriet added: "Peter and I are so fortunate to have such wonderful girls between us. I’m excited about what’s to come with our family and always mindful that going gently is so important."
Harriet's exclusive interview with HELLO!
Harriet shared plenty of insights with us about royal life, including the first time that she met the Princess of Wales. "I can look to Catherine for advice and guidance," she told us. "She's very open-hearted, and I would always feel comfortable asking her if I needed advice about something."
She also shared what happened the first time that she met Peter's mother, Princess Anne. Harriet explained: "We met in the garden at Gatcombe. It was really relaxed; we sat on garden benches having cups of tea. It couldn't have been nicer and was very similar to when Peter met my family.
"She sets an amazing example with her work ethic. What I’ve seen is her tireless attention to local charities and her genuine interests. It's important to do things that match who you are, where you live and what your passions are. She has genuine areas of interest that she follows and she's so well-respected in the family. She is incredibly loyal."
Harriet and Peter's romantic wedding
Harriet and Peter tied the knot in an intimate wedding in the Cotswolds attended by senior members of the royal family. Among the guests were King Charles and Queen Camilla, who were cheered as they arrived at All Saints' Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire.
They were joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales, the groom's sister and brother-in-law Zara and Mike Tindall with their daughters Mia and Lena, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh with their son James, Earl of Wessex.
Also in the congregation were the groom's cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, accompanied by their husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, however, were not in attendance.
Harriet wore a dress designed by Emilia Wickstead, earrings by Pragnell and the Pragnell family tiara, with shoes by Jimmy Choo, on her special day.
