Prince William and Prince George delighted royal fans with a surprise father-son trip to Barcelona this week, cheering on their beloved Aston Villa against FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League at the Spotify Camp Nou on 3 November.
Now, footage shared on X by a fellow passenger appears to show that the pair kept the trip refreshingly low-key. They were seen on what looked like a British Airways flight, standing up from their seats as they got ready to get off the plane.
Royals usually fly on chartered jets for tours and engagements abroad, for security and scheduling reasons. However, the Waleses have taken the occasional commercial flight before. William flew from New York to Washington, D.C. in 2014 for his meeting with President Barack Obama, and Catherine, the Princess of Wales, flew British Airways from Rotterdam to London in 2016.
Many fans have praised the relatable choice, while others feel private flights remain the more sensible option for the royals. What do you think? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts in the comments below.
