Billy Ray Cyrus couldn't be prouder of his daughter Miley Cyrus, despite their previously tumultuous relationship.
The "Flowers" singer is a product of her mom Tish Cyrus' marriage to the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer; the two were married from 1993 until 2022, and together also share Braison, 32, Noah, 26, plus Tish is also a mom to Brandi, 38, and Trace, 37.
Both the Hannah Montana star and her father have spoken candidly about the ups and downs of their relationship, though the latter has seemingly reiterated they have made amends.
Last week, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that Miley would be getting her very own Hollywood Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on May 22, and Billy Ray has already declared that not only will he be there, but he will take to Hollywood Boulevard ahead of time to "clean and shine the sidewalks before the big day."
Taking to Instagram, Billy Ray, 64, shared a photo from his and Miley's Disney Channel days, and wrote: "P. S. @mileycyrus I am coming in early to clean and shine the sidewalks before the big day," reflecting: "It's only once in a lifetime, a Daddy from Flatwoods, Kentucky gets to see his little girl … evolve into an Actress into a full fledged Rock Star."
"To circling back to … 'Oh by the way “. [sic] Time for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame !!!! Can't make this up. Art …imitating life …imitating art once again in the Cyrus Family," he concluded.
Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, with one writing: "She deserves this so much!!!" as others followed suit with: "This is too cute," and: "So proud and well deserved. Congrats! To Miley and you Billy. Much love my friend," as well as: "From your neck of the woods here! Everything you two did together has made us all proud."
While he missed the red carpet premiere, Billy Ray was also recently part of the Hannah Montana reunion special which aired on Disney+, and which celebrated the beloved series' 20th anniversary.
In 2024, Miley, appearing on David Letterman's Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, at one point joked when she couldn't remember something: "I also inherited the narcissism from my father," prompting laughter from David, as she added: "It's true. It's okay. It's okay."
Later in the interview, David also asked whether "My father is my hero" was a sentiment Miley related to. Taking a sigh and a beat, she answered: "I mean honestly my mom is my hero."
Continuing, with pause, she said: "My father… I'm grateful for his genes. My dad has great hair, and I got that, but he also, he has a relationship and a foot on the ground to the real, and to nature, and he always did, even when he was super famous."
