Former couple Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin shared a sweet reunion at their daughter Apple Martin's graduation from Vanderbilt University on Friday, proving that the exes are still on great terms despite their 2014 split.

Chris arrived with their son, Moses Martin, by his side, with the pair both looking sharp for the special day. The Coldplay rocker arrived in an all-black ensemble complete with a black blazer, while Moses wore gray trousers, a light blue button-up shirt and a white sweater draped across his torso.

Meanwhile, Gwyneth was glowing alongside her husband, Brad Falchukas she sported a light blue maxi dress with a red jacket and matching red heels. Brad looked sophisticated in beige trousers, a blue button-up shirt and a blue cardigan, and held onto the actress's hand as they entered the graduation event.

Apple was the star of the show in a white sundress and black kitten heels, with her graduation gown over the top and her cap in her arms. The budding star graduated from the Nashville university with a degree in Law, History and Society, and has plans to break into the entertainment industry like her Oscar-winning mother.

Apple shared several snaps from her last days at Vanderbilt with friends on Instagram in May, including photos of her group hanging around the university library and campus at large. "A bittersweet moment. How lucky we are to have these memories," she wrote in the caption, as her mom commented: "SO proud!!"

Apple told Interview magazine that she initially chose to study law at Vanderbilt to separate herself from her parents' careers in the spotlight, yet realized that she loved being onstage.

"The reason why I was originally like, 'Maybe I'll be a lawyer,' was because I loved acting, but I was insecure and nervous, so I was like, 'Oh my God, if I'm a lawyer, I can perform on the stage in a trial setting,'" she explained. "It's insane that I thought that. Also, I cannot lie, I was like, 'I'll just be Elle Woods.'"

She continued: "It's a lot harder than it looks. I don't know how she managed to go to law school every day as fabulous as she did. But I love history. I love true crime. I love investigating."

"I also think it's fun to look at the history of law and see how you can implement it in a modern context. If I were to be a lawyer, I would just want to help people. That's probably the biggest thing," Apple said.

Instead of going to law school, Apple wants to carve her own path in showbiz, as she told Vogue"[I] love it more than anything," she said about being onstage. "I love dancing, and I love acting. My dream is to act."

Apple's special day marked a touching reunion for Gwyneth and Chris, who announced their divorce in 2014 on the Goop website. "It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," their statement read.

"We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner." In the years since their split, the duo have remained fast friends for the sake of Apple and Moses, and even share a sibling-like bond.
