Way before Sabrina Carpenter rocked the Coachella stage, she had a long journey in the entertainment industry behind her.

The performer, who turned 27 on May 11, didn't begin her career off as a singer, instead she stuck to acting for a long time.

Believe it or not, Sabrina's first role was on the hit show Law and Order: SVU in 2011, during which she portrayed a young assault survivor, by the name of Paula Moretti in Season 12 for an episode called "Possessed."

After that, she portrayed a character called Chloe Goodwin in The Goodwin Games in 2013.

In 2014, she had a huge breakthrough thanks to Disney Channel's popular series Girl Meets World, playing the role of Maya Hart.

Fun fact: Sabrina co-sang the sitcom's catchy theme song called "Take On the World," where she showed off her impressive singing chops.

She also recorded multiple songs for the animated series Disney Fairies: Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust as well as Sofia the First from 2013 to 2018.

In 2015, she dropped her album Eyes Wide Open and in 2022, she put out her album Emails I Can't Send.

The singer went on to open Taylor Swift's global Eras Tour in 2023, where she performed her addictive songs "Espresso," "Feather," and "Nonsense."

Her singing career has skyrocketed, as she's grown before our very own eyes. On top of that, her style evolution has put Sabrina in a lane of her own.

Sabrina went from donning sweaters and jeans on red carpets, as a child, to leather looks as a teen, and now she takes fashion risks regularly.

The star shared just how her fashion showcases her transformation over the years, expressing to Who What Wear: "The things I feel really confident in now, maybe five years ago, I probably would have never worn [them], but that's the beautiful thing about evolving with fashion."

The old saying, "look good, feel good," works for the entertainer. She revealed: "I want to feel as confident as humanly possible so I can be up there and not worry about what I'm doing. It helps me perform better."

Sabrina recalled how in tune her style was to her album Emails I Can't Send, expressing: "[The record], to me at least, feels like the first album cycle where I really felt like there was a style connection to the music. I haven't always felt that way in the past because I was young and didn't know who I was."
