Laguna Beach's Stephen Colletti is all grown up. The 40-year-old and his wife, Alex Weaver, just welcomed their first child.
On Friday, May 15, the couple announced the birth of their son, Rhodes August Colletti, on Instagram with a sweet black and white photo of the three of them holding hands.
Stephen and Alex's famous friends congratulated them on the happy news. Lisa Rinna commented: "CONGRATS!!!!!" And Stephen's One Tree Hill co-star Sophia Bush wrote: "Pure magic!! Congrats fam," with a blue heart emoji.
Five years ago, the couple started dating. While they haven't shared how they met, the two went on their first date on November 15, 2021. Two years later, Stephen proposed to Alex while on a trip to Italy, on the same date.
"In secret conversations with my mom, [Stephen] was told to make sure I was dressed appropriately with my hair done and makeup on so [he] suggested we take our 'Christmas card photo' as his sneaky way of getting me to dress nice," Alex told People about how she was surprised on the big day.
The new mom is a host and reported for NASCAR. Alex loved the sport from a young age. "My grandfather was a HUGE fan and never missed a race on Sundays," she wrote in a Reddit AMA. "That's the background I had growing up, didn't know a whole lot about the sport other than who I was supposed to cheer for to make my grandfather happy on Sunday afternoon."
For a 2019 interview with NASCAR, Alex spoke with Stephen's high school girlfriend, Kristin Cavallari. The reality television star gave Alex a tour of her Uncommon James store in Nashville.
After the interview, Alex referred to Kristin as her "girl boss idol," and the two posed together for a photo.
Four years after their first date and a year after they got engaged, Stephen and Alex got married. The couple had a simple courthouse ceremony with just their families by their side before celebrating further in Paris.
After they shared the news of their nuptials, Stephen told People: "It was a beautifully intimate day that was celebrated with both of our families by our side."
The new mom grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. For college, she went south to Clemson University, where she graduated with a degree in communication and media studies in 2016. In 2013, she posted on X: "Clemson is definitely my happy place."
