It was an extra special, celebratory weekend for Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin.
On Sunday, May 17, the couple officially rang in the 29th anniversary of their wedding in London.
The Rocky Balboa actor, 79, and the former model, 57, met in 1988 at a restaurant in West Hollywood, California, when the latter was 19 years old and he was 42, and they are parents to Sophia, 29, Sistine, 27, and Scarlet, 23.
In honor of Sylvester and Jennifer's special day, he took to Instagram and shared a photo of the two celebrating. The snap sees him resting on a leather chair, wearing a black tracksuit and relying on a cane, while Jennifer, champagne flute in hand, is wearing a long white skirt and coordinating long-sleeve top.
"Happy anniversary, you give my life meaning!" Sylvester wrote in the caption, and fans were quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, though first Jennifer herself wrote back: "I love you, you are my everything!"
Others followed suit with: "Looking good! Congratulations," and: "You two are adorable. Happy Anniversary to you both," as well as: "Beautiful couple, wishing you happiness and health," plus another also wrote: "Happy birthday! Behind every good man is a great woman!"
Jennifer is Sylvester's third wife; he was previously married to Sasha Czack, with whom he shared late son Sage, who died in 2012 at 36, from 1974 to 1985, and to Brigitte Nielsen, with whom he shares son Seargeoh, 44, from 1985 to 1987.
In 2023 and 2024, the Stallone family gave insight into their family in the reality show The Family Stallone, which has not been renewed for a third season, including Jennifer and Sylvester's ups and downs.
"I remember vividly the first time I met Jennifer," he said on the show. "I was in this dark restaurant, a few people. She came in and, whoa! Something happened. I just felt, like, this jolt, like — 'Oh, did we just have a minor earthquake or something?'"
"We just hit it off, it was crazy. We were inseparable all night," Jennifer added.
The pair split in 1994, before reconciling and tying the knot in 1997, and then in 2022, Jennifer filed a petition "for dissolution of marriage and other relief" from Sylvester, however they again reconciled a month later.
"Let's just say that it was a very tumultuous time," Sylvester told the Sunday Times later that year, noting: "There was a reawakening of what was more valuable than anything, which is my love for my family. It takes precedence over my work, and that was a hard lesson to learn."
