Is there anything Hilary Duff can't do? Over the last two decades, the star has graduated from girl next door status as Lizzy McGuire to Sports Illustated swimsuit model, and all that is inbetween.
The multi-talented actress and singer juggles her career and raising four kids and still manages to make time for workouts.
As we celebrate her SI cover success, HELLO! looks back at her memorable swimwear snapshots over the years.
Feeling strong
Hilary has been candid about her teenage struggles with an eating disorder, driven by the intense pressure of "skinny" Hollywood standards.
Working with her personal trainer, she shifted her mindset. "I'm appreciating my health, doing activities that make me feel strong instead of just bettering the outside of my body," she revealed.
At peace with change
With four children, her body has undergone several chapters of change, and Hilary is immensely proud of that history.
"I've gotten to a place of being peaceful with the changes my body has gone through," she told Women's Health.
"I can look at my body now and appreciate all the things it has done for me. I no longer find that I am constantly comparing myself — and that is a better place to exist."
Lifting weights
Hilary focuses on looking and feeling strong. She said she used to avoid weights but they're now an imperative part of her regime.
"Lifting weights, as a woman, is really important," she told Women's Health. "It's important for your bones. It's important for us constantly being on our cell phones and our posture."
"My body has given me the greatest gift of my life. My body is healthy and gets me where I need to go," she once wrote after an outlet made negative comments about her swimsuit photos.
She added a hashtag that went down in internet history: "#kissmyass."
Balancing act
Keeping up with her young family is a workout in itself... quite literally. She's turned play time into a dose of exercise and bought a scooter to ride with her kids, loves a game of tag and is partial to a jump on the trampoline too. "It's a good workout," she admitted.
Opening up
Rather than fret over some extra baby weight, Hilary opened up to her loved ones and formluated a plan.
"Talking to your friends about it. Just trying to motivate and reserve your energy to make sure you can get to the gym. Really cutting out things that are your vices for a little while."
Natural beauty
Hilary shared a beautiful black-and-white photo wearing a classic floral-patterned two-piece while holding her daughter, Banks.
It was taken in the shower and fans loved the "real" snapshot of family life.
Baby weight
Hilary didn't just spring back into shape after her pregnancies and confessed it was "hard" for her. She told Cosmopolitan: "It’s such a bummer, honestly. You have this new baby. Or, in my case, (my first born child) was one, and I was like, 'I still have this body! What happened?'"
Diet
Hilary's diet is about being mindful. When she started working with a diet coach her outlook on food shifted.
"I had no idea how much I was eating throughout the day, snacking," she told Women’s Health. "I lost 10 pounds and I was not starving myself, and just eating things that I like and being more conscious."
Hilary delivered arguably her most iconic swimwear moment to date when she was revealed as a cover model for the prestigious Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in May 2026. While she looked amazing, Hilary confessed she was nervous.

"I'm a mom of four, and I'm not a spring chicken," she said. "So, of course, it was flattering. I don't typically frolic around in a bathing suit, but it was also incredibly empowering. It really felt like a celebration of women."
