Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson tied the knot with an intimate ceremony at Bettina's twin sister Kristina's home in West Palm Beach on May 21. The nuptials were officiated by Bettina's brother-in-law, real estate attorney Bradley McPherson.

However, the couple's official wedding is set to take place in the Bahamas over Memorial Day weekend. President Donald Trump took to X on May 22 to confirm that he will not be attending the wedding.

"While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so. I feel is it important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time. Congratulations to Don and Bettina! President Donald J. Trump," he penned.

Love story

Prior to his engagement to Bettina Anderson, Donald Jr. was in a six-year relationship with broadcaster Kimberly Guilfoyle, with the couple getting engaged in 2020; however, they never officially announced their split.

"When you go down there, it's like, you're gonna go, and you're trying to ask, and you're not sure what the answer's gonna be. It's always a little bit rough," Donald Trump Jr. admitted about the engagement. "But she said yes, so that's a big win for the end of the year."
