Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson tied the knot with an intimate ceremony at Bettina's twin sister Kristina's home in West Palm Beach on May 21. The nuptials were officiated by Bettina's brother-in-law, real estate attorney Bradley McPherson.
However, the couple's official wedding is set to take place in the Bahamas over Memorial Day weekend. President Donald Trump took to X on May 22 to confirm that he will not be attending the wedding.
"While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so. I feel is it important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time. Congratulations to Don and Bettina! President Donald J. Trump," he penned.
Bettina graduated from Columbia University with a degree in art history, criticism and conservation in 2009. She also models and featured on the cover of Quest magazine in 2020. Bettina is a socialite in the area of Palm Beach and has planned fundraisers there, including for the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach.
Bettina was born in December 1986 to entrepreneur Harry Loy Anderson Jr. and philanthropist Inger Anderso in Palm Beach. Harry served as a board member on the Historical Society of Palm Beach County and the national board of governors for the American Red Cross.
Bettina has five siblings – sisters Mea Stone, Bebe McCranels and Kristina McPherson, and brothers Harry Loy III and Kent.
Prior to his engagement to Bettina Anderson, Donald Jr. was in a six-year relationship with broadcaster Kimberly Guilfoyle, with the couple getting engaged in 2020; however, they never officially announced their split.
Donald Jr. was previously married for 12 years to ex-wife Vanessa Trump, who filed for divorce in 2018. They share five children: Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe.
Donald Jr. and Bettina were first pictured together enjoying brunch in August 2024. They made their official debut as a couple at his dad's inauguration in January 2025.
"When you go down there, it's like, you're gonna go, and you're trying to ask, and you're not sure what the answer's gonna be. It's always a little bit rough," Donald Trump Jr. admitted about the engagement. "But she said yes, so that's a big win for the end of the year."
Bettina and her brothers founded The Paradise Fund, a nonprofit company that helps local organizations with disaster relief. The project was renamed Paradise.ngo in April 2023, and Bettina was appointed as executive director.
"One of the greatest focuses of my life is how I can be of service to others and be a steward of the environment," she told Fashion Week Daily.
Bettina celebrated her bridal shower in April at the family's sprawling Mar-a-Lago mansion in Palm Beach, with an "Enchanted Garden" theme. The luncheon saw approximately 100 guests gather together at the $564 million estate. Bettina wore a strapless, white midi dress that featured a bandeau neckline adorned with delicate silver embroidery.
