While Swifties around the world can barely contain their excitement over Taylor Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce, which is said to be taking place on 3 July, President Donald Trump has emerged as an unlikely figure to weigh in with a message for the singer on her supposed big day.
The official White House Instagram account shared a post featuring a montage of photographs of President Donald Trump alongside pivotal moments in American history, including images of George Washington and the first Moon landing. Alongside the image, bold lettering read: "America's Era Tour."
The following message was added in the caption. "It’s been a long time coming…" it read. The phrase is a lyric commonly associated with Taylor's Eras Tour.
Taylor is set to tie the knot with her NFL star partner of three years, with the couple's wedding tipped to take place on July 3 during the lavish Fourth of July holiday weekend celebrations.
New York served as the location of the couple’s first date. It has been speculated that the couple will marry at Madison Square Garden, in New York City. The venue has a secure entrance and exits, with maximum security and there are no windows. It has a banquet capacity of 1,250 people, and City Hall also confirmed to The Post on June 24 that a permit application was filed with the city's Street Activity Permit Office for July 2 to July 4.
The permit, filed by Winick Productions in June, requested street closures around MSG and a public tent to be erected outside the venue, which can accommodate 500 to 999 attendees. Crew workers have been spotted leaving Madison Square Garden after a reported rehearsal dinner on Thursday night. Items began to be ferried inside, including air conditioning units to beat the extreme weather.
Guests are set to start arriving at 3:30 pm local time, with the event taking place at 5:30 pm local time. The party is expected to carry on until 2 am. The likes of Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Lena Durham, Adam Sandler, Graham Norton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Ed Sheeran have been spotted in NYC ahead of the wedding.
It's been reported that there is a black-tie dress code, with women expected to wear floor-length dresses while men will wear a tuxedo with a jacket, black bow tie and matching satin striped trousers.
President Trump's relationship with Taylor Swift
"Joe Biden didn't do anything for Taylor, and never will. There's no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can't stand me!" Trump said on Truth Social during the 2024 presidential election.
That same year, the president declared: "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" The comment came after the singer endorsed then-Vice President Kamala Harris following the presidential debate. "I was not a Taylor Swift fan," Trump said, adding: "She's a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she'll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace, Donald said on Fox & Friends.
