Brett Goldstein may be loud with his love on television, but off screen, he keeps his romance private. The 45-year-old actor is starring in Netflix's newest romantic-comedy, Office Romance, alongside https://www.hellomagazine.com/tags/jennifer-lopez/. And fans are catching on to some chemistry.

Brett, who is also a producer on the film that premieres on June 5, stars as a lawyer who lands a new job working for Jennifer's Jackie, the president and CEO of an airline. Fans can't help but comment on the energy between the co-stars.

The Ted Lasso actor hasn't shared any news about his off screen love life, although it's reported that he's single. Here's everything we know about Brett Goldstein's romantic life.

Brett was in a relationship with Beth Rylance

In 2021, Brett confirmed his relationship with fellow comedian Beth Rylance, 35, at the Primetime Emmy Awards. After he won for his portrayal of Roy Kent in Ted Lasso, Brett said: "I was very, very specifically told I'm not allowed to swear, so this speech is going to be [expletive] short," adding, "Beth, I love you."

Beth posted about the public confirmation of her relationship in a since-deleted tweet, writing: "Today is the day that my boyfriend goes to the Emmy's as a Best Supporting Actor nominee and I am at home on my second load of laundry. Just to confirm, my boyfriend is Kenan Thompson off of SNL."

Brett reportedly broke up with Beth

A year after publicly declaring his love, it was reported that Brett and Beth called it quits. Ever the closed-lipped star, Brett has yet to comment publicly on their breakup, although neither still follows the other on Instagram.

On screen chemistry

Brett is an expert at building on screen chemistry with his co-stars. From Jennifer to Imogen Poots to Meredith Hagner, he's something of a heartthrob. On Ted Lasso, his hardened Roy Kent fell in love with Juno Temple's Keely Jones. The characters were an odd couple. It was surprising for fans to see Roy's brashness and Keely's brightness mesh together.

But, the actors knew Roy and Keely would work. "For me, there's a situation when you have to play a couple on camera, and you have to be in love with each other, and you have to create a sense of actually existing with that person in private places that nobody else sees," Juno told the LA Times in 2021 about making the couple believable. "You need to choose one thing about that person that makes them the most delicious, intoxicating, perfect creation to you."

Brett added, explaining why the TV couple works: "Though they're very different, they've both been in the same kind of relationships that are shallow and distrustful, and if they're being honest, they’re both scared of being loved, and they have let in bad people."
