Kaitlin Olson put on a brave face amid a difficult time.
On Tuesday, May 26, the High Potential actress attended a panel in Los Angeles for the final season of Hacks, in which she stars as lead Jean Smart's character Deborah Vance's daughter DJ Vance.
Her outing comes just over a week after she shared with fans that her father, Donald Olson, passed away.
Taking to Instagram for her first post since the previous that commemorated her father, Kaitlin shared a photo with Hacks cast and crew Hannah Einbinder, Paul W. Downs, Jen Statsky, and Robby Hoffman, among others.
"Pulled myself together for a final @Hacks panel," Kaitlin wrote, adding: "What a gift this show is."
Fans and friends alike were quick to show their support in the comments section under the post, with co-creator Paul W. writing: "You're the best of the best @kaitlinolson and you can do it all. Thank you for making DJ funnier and more poignant a character than we even dreamed."
Others followed suit with: "You all look amazing! I'm so sad the show is ending!" and: "Hope you're doing ok as you can be right now! Take time for you and your family. You look absolutely amazing!" as well as: "You are so incredible on this show!! Wishing you the best during such a challenging time. We love you. Take good care of yourself."
Hacks, which first premiered in 2021 and won 12 Emmys (out of 62 nominations) in its five-season run, will stream its series finale on May 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET on Max.
Kaitlin, who has been married to Rob McElhenney since 2008, announced the passing of her father in an Instagram post featuring a slew of photos of them throughout the years, and she noted: "Honestly it feels a little gross to bring this to social media. It's too fragile and too private."
However, she continued: "Nothing feels more wrong than to just move on with life as if the worst thing in the world didn't happen. As if everything that matters didn't just suddenly end. My dad died."
Kaitlin further shared: "My first love, my first protector and my forever favorite person. He fought so hard and so long to stay with us. I hate words right now. None are good enough to describe who he was."
"The luckiest thing to happen to me in this lifetime was getting him as my dad. Maybe the second was the gift of holding him on his way out. I love you, daddy. I will keep all my promises. Just like you," the tribute concluded.
