Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey's family is growing once again!
The couple, who have been together since 2022 and engaged since 2024, announced on social media that they are expecting their second child together.
Kaley, 40, and Tom, 43, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, on March 30, 2023. They shared the news of their new family addition on Instagram, while also revealing their second baby's gender – it's another girl!
"Completing our little family, what a dream come true! This second time around, journey has been a little windier in many ways, but wow we are so grateful for this moment!! Little sissy on the way!!!" Kaley wrote on Instagram, with a photo of herself, Tom and Matilda eating a rainbow sprinkle-covered gender reveal cake.
"@tommypelphrey girl dad for life, and yes, the last pic is our dainty princess giving us the middle finger!" the actress quipped beside a picture of their baby's sonogram.
Tom similarly posted many of the same photos, captioning his own announcement post with: "Deep gratitude and joy – so much respect and admiration for @kaleycuoco on this journey of ups and downs. (Doc gave her a little prod for the pic and this was her immediate response…. definitely my child)."
Ozark star Tom and The Big Bang Theory star Kaley have often shared glimpses of parenting and life with Matilda on their social media pages, from the ways their daughter has become a big part of their career moves, to how she's inheriting her parents' deep love for animals.
Speaking with E! News in 2024, Kaley clapped back at any critics of her parenting style, saying: "Every mom I can guarantee is doing the best they can."
She continued: "Look, everyone's got something to say about everything. There's no change before I had kids, to having kids, to where I am in my life," attributing it to being a part of the Hollywood machine. "It's just this business, it's this life. It is what it is. But yeah, we got to stop at the shaming."
Kaley affirmed that she and Tom were confident they were giving their daughter the best upbringing possible, gushing that Matilda is "the happiest kid in the world" who had so much "love around her."
She added: "I just feel like every kid is so different. What's good for your kid might not be good for mine." When asked whether she thinks Matilda will follow her parents (and her aunt Briana Cuoco) into acting, Kaley quipped that it was positively running through her veins.
"I don't know how this child will not be an actress. I mean, it's an acting family," she joked. "[Tom and I have] been through all the ups and downs. and that girl is a performer. There's no way she's not going to perform."
