Catherine's career

Catherine didn't go into acting as a young child, or even as a teen like most actors do. Instead, she attended UCLA and initially planned on going into research or medicine.

She booked a modeling gig in Japan and that led her to not only switch career lanes, but to drop out of college and pursue acting during her sophomore year.

Upon her return to the United States, Catherine studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. She made her TV acting debut with one line in the sitcom Sugar and Spice.

Believe it or not, she also served as Isabella Rossellini's body double in Death Becomes Her in 1992.

A year later, she got the lead role in Men of War. In 1995, she got a small part in JAG, however, she ended up getting the role of Sarah MacKenzie later on, and was featured in the popular series until 2005.

Two years later, she got the lead part in Army Wives and she's also been the face of The Good Witch franchise on Hallmark.

In 2019, Catherine's role in JAG was reprised on NCIS: Los Angeles, which was a treat for her long-time fans. In 2022, the actress starred in Jailbreak Lovers.
