Corey Feldman has reassured fans following a medical emergency that saw him rushed to hospital while travelling home to Los Angeles.
The 54-year-old former child star, was reported to have become unwell during a flight from Chicago on Monday, prompting medical assistance in the air before paramedics met him upon landing.
© Getty ImagesThe star was travelling home after attending anniversary events celebrating the beloved 1986 film Stand By Me, where he reunited with former co-stars Jerry O'Connell and Wil Wheatonn - and spent time connecting with fans.
Following a series of tests, Corey now revealed the cause was a severe case of food poisoning, and he has since been discharged.
© Getty ImagesAlthough the cause of his mid-air illness was then unknown, his representative clarified that doctors had ruled out gallstones as a possible cause. The star’s spokesperson then told the Daily Mail on Tuesday: “Corey is doing much better and is now out of the hospital.”
Upon first news of the incident, fans were quick to share an outpour of love and support for the 80s icon, flooding his comment section with concerned messages.

It seems a little health scare isn’t enough to slow the father down, as the multi-hyphenate entertainer is ushering in a new era with the release of his latest single, "What Am I Here 4? - coming late June.
The release follows a busy period for Corey, who continues to perform for audiences around the world following his appearance on Limp Bizkit's highly publicized Loserville Tour and a series of fan events celebrating his film and music career.
