The Obama family were out in full force on June 18 - for a very special day. Barack and Michelle Obama's two daughters, Malia, 27, and Sasha, 25, joined their parents for the official opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
The sisters - who reside in LA - were introduced on stage alongside their mom and dad, who joined past presidents and political figures, including Joe and Jill Biden, and George W. Bush and Laura Bush, as well as Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff.
They sat at the front of the stage and enjoyed performances from stars including Stevie Wonder and Jennifer Hudson.
Giving insight into their fun family dynamic, Malia and Sasha were seen turning to laugh at their dad after Valerie Jarrett, CEO of the Obama Foundation, joked about his changing hair color.
Detailing how long she had known the couple, she said: "Now a lot has obviously changed since then, and I'm not just talking about Barack's changing hair color." This resulted in laughter from Barack's daughters and wife, while Barack shrugged his shoulders smiling.
Malia and Sasha are notoriously private, making their appearance at the event all the more special. Malia looked stylish dressed in an oversized tailored gray jacket that cinched in at the waist, teamed with a dark gray mini skirt and gray heels.
Sasha, meanwhile, looked chic in a cream off-the-shoulder top styled with a brown waist belt and matching midi skirt, paired with studded black heels.
While Malia and Sasha are both private citizens, their proud parents occasionally share photos of them on social media.
Most recently, Michelle and Barack both paid tribute to Sasha as she celebrated her 25th birthday on June 10. Barack and Michelle both grew up in Chicago, and raised their daughters there before moving to Washington D.C. when Barack became president in 2009.
The center features a museum, which shares the story of the couple, "their historic presidency, and stories of people and events that influenced their continued legacy." It also boasts public spaces, a new library, a basketball court, and dining options.
Ahead of the ceremony, Valerie said in a press release: "This Grand Opening ceremony will be unlike any other — filled with music, performances, and hope. "The Grand Opening Ceremony will reflect a spirit of inspiration and joy, with a big boost from the performers who are sharing their talent with us. We hope to inspire people everywhere to believe in their power to bring change home."
