Jonny Lee Miller has shared a rare photo with his teenage son Buster – and fans were quick to notice just how different the Trainspotting star looks these days.

The 53-year-old actor posted the sweet image from an Oasis concert, posing beside 17-year-old Buster with a huge smile on his face. Jonny appeared worlds away from the bleach-blond, clean-shaven Simon "Sick Boy" Williamson he played in the 1996 cult classic, instead sporting a rugged new look complete with longer hair and a thick moustache.

"The greatest thing that ever happened to me," he wrote alongside the father-son snap.

Fans were quick to comment on his new appearance, with one writing "Firefighter mustache", another querying "The mousache?" and a third saying "Only hoping it’s for a part!!"

Jonny tends to keep his personal life out of the spotlight, making the candid post an especially sweet glimpse into his relationship with Buster. He shares his only child with actress Michele Hicks, whom he married in 2008. The former couple separated in 2016 and finalised their divorce two years later.

Before Michele, Jonny was famously married to Angelina Jolie – becoming the Oscar-winning actress's first husband.

The pair met while playing teenage hackers in the 1995 thriller Hackers and married the following year, when Angelina was 20 and Jonny was 23. Their relationship was short-lived, with the former couple separating in 1997 and divorcing in 1999, but they have remained on friendly terms in the years since.

The star achieved worldwide fame thanks to his role in Trainspotting

Angelina spoke warmly about Jonny during an appearance at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival last year, revealing that they still have "a wonderful relationship" and noting that their sons are around the same age.

The actor has since made a name for himself well beyond his early roles in Trainspotting and Hackers. He starred as Sherlock Holmes opposite Lucy Liu in the long-running US drama Elementary, returned for T2 Trainspotting in 2017 and has enjoyed a celebrated stage career, including an Olivier Award-winning turn in Frankenstein alongside Benedict Cumberbatch.

Jonny has also reportedly found happiness in his personal life again. Reports last month linked him to Pilates and yoga instructor Manuela Diago, with the pair said to have been quietly dating since 2025. They have not publicly commented on the relationship.
