Barbra Streisand and her husband James Brolin celebrated a big milestone on July 1 – their 28th wedding anniversary.
The 84-year-old shared a rare photo of the couple not only to mark the day they wed, which is the same date as their first date, but also three decades together.
"Honey… 30 years together and 28 years married!? Where has the time gone? Happy Anniversary. Love, Barbra Joan Brolin," the EGOT winner penned on Instagram alongside a photo of James' arm around her.
Their famous friends were quick to react to the news, with Rita Wilson commenting: "I [remember] when you were first dating!!! Time has flown. Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Brolin."
Mary Steenburgen penned: "Love to you crazy kids." Linda Thompson added: "Where has the time gone indeed! I remember when you first started dating… Happy anniversary to a beautiful enduring love!"
Octavia Spencer, Rosie O'Donnell, and Vera Wang were also among the well-wishers sending congratulatory messages.
Over the decades, Barbra has been in high-profile romances with the likes of Don Johnson, Jon Peters, Pierre Trudeau, and more, but has only been married twice.
In 1963, she tied the knot with actor Elliott Gould, although they announced their separation in 1969 and divorced in 1971. They have one son together, Jason Gould, who is now 59.
James had been married twice before tying the knot with Barbra and has three children from those marriages, including actor Josh Brolin.
While promoting her memoir My Name is Barbra in 2023, which documented several of the highs and lows of her decades-long career, including her romances, Barbra spoke with Stephen Colbert about falling in love with James.
She told Stephen about first meeting the star on a blind date after being set up by a mutual friend who thought "that we might like each other."
"I had no man in my life, I had no grandchildren in my life," she continued, describing her first meeting with the Westworld actor. "I go there, and I see a man standing across the room."
"And [I think] 'Is that him? Where's the hair?' It was all off, he had just buzz-cut his hair. He had this little dye on it, and then gray at the bottom. And no beard, no nothing."
She then explained she later reached out and actually touched his head. "I said, 'Who [expletive] up your hair?'" Although in a later interview, James confessed that he found the move endearing and liked her honesty.
The EGOT winner added: "We talked about everything that night. And then he said, 'I'm taking you home'. Ooh, whoa! I'd never had a man say that to me…it was interesting."
"I was a nervous wreck. In his car, I thought, 'I haven't been in a car with a man in several years. What if I get sick to my stomach? What if I have to throw up?' Literally."
The couple married in a backyard wedding on July 1, 1988, exactly two years after they first met in front of family and friends, including John Travolta, who described it as "probably the most beautiful" wedding he'd ever attended.
