Penélope Cruz shared a rare glimpse into her private family life after celebrating Spain's emphatic FIFA World Cup victory alongside husband Javier Bardem.

The Oscar-winning actress took to Instagram following Spain's 3-0 knockout-stage win over Austria, posting a carousel of joyful moments from the match at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The photo also featured singer Rosalía, who joined the celebrations after Spain secured a convincing 3-0 victory, extending the national team's remarkable unbeaten run.

The actress simply captioned the post: "¡¡¡Viva España!!!" Penélope embraced the occasion in a red Spain T-shirt, matching baseball cap and sunglasses as she cheered on her home nation from the stands.

Javier kept things casual in a green T-shirt, cap and sunglasses, with the pair looking relaxed as they soaked up the electric atmosphere alongside fellow Spanish stars.

Spain's win sends them into the Round of 16, where they will face either Portugal or Croatia.

Penélope and Javier's appearance comes just weeks after the actor made a touching public declaration about his wife during an interview with Variety.

"She's a woman I'm so blessed by having had the chance to be at the same time, in the same place, in life," he said.

The couple first met on the set of Jamón, Jamón in 1992, but romance didn't blossom until they reunited while filming Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2007. They married in an intimate ceremony in the Bahamas in 2010 and have since welcomed two children: son Leo, 15, and daughter Luna, 12.

Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem often don't have time to spend with one another

Speaking recently about the secret to their enduring relationship, Javier said admiration is at the heart of their marriage.

"It's important that you respect and support your partner, but also that you admire that person for what she is, for what she does," he shared.

"The way she relates to her family, to her friends, to our kids, to me, to herself. It's been a lot of years, and I haven't seen a hint of malice in her."

He continued: "On top of that, she's amazingly f---ing beautiful! When I see her being photographed on some magazines, I go, 'Is that my wife? Jesus, is it? It must be!'"

Javier has been very busy of late with his career

Despite being one of Hollywood's most celebrated couples, Penélope and Javier have long been committed to raising their children away from the glare of the spotlight.

The family primarily live in Madrid, with both actors previously revealing they often choose projects that allow them to spend as much time together as possible.
