Matt Damon clearly doesn't mind sharing the spotlight, because all eyes were not on him when he attended the UK premiere of his new movie, The Odyssey, on July 6.
The 55-year-old was upstaged by his stunning wife, Luciana, 49, and all four of their daughters, Alexia, 26, Isabella, 19, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15, at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London.
Matt, who plays Odysseus in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated blockbuster, looked dapper in a gray three-piece suit with a blue button-up shirt and a striped tie.
However, no one was looking at Matt with Luciana beside him. The couple posed for photos together on the red carpet, and she looked incredible in her Gabriela Hearst Tibor Rope Strapless Column Maxi Dress.
Luciana's black suede and merino wool dress featured braided rope detailing that wound over one shoulder and a figure-hugging silhouette.
It was game over for Matt, however, when he and Luciana were joined on the red carpet by their four daughters, who all looked phenomenal in floor-length dresses of varying colors.
Alexia wore a black plunging backless dress; Isabelle opted for a burgundy corset-style dress; Stella wore a silky pink number; and Gia stood out in a sheer, animal-print frock with a plunging neckline.
Matt met his Argentinian wife in 2003 in Miami while he was filming Stuck on You and she was working in a bar.
Describing their instant connection, Luciana said in a 2018 Vogue interview: "We definitely had a connection right away, it was so easy to talk to each other, we were very comfortable [with each other], and by the end of the night, he invited me to go out with his friends."
They tied the knot in September 2005, and Matt legally adopted Alexia, whom Luciana welcomed with her ex-husband Arbello Barroso, before going on to have three more daughters.
Speaking recently with GQ about working on Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic, Matt revealed that the film will likely be his final foray into the world of blockbusters, something he's given considerable thought because of how much time he's had to spend away from his family.
"I think about it a lot, especially as my kids are getting older: really trying to be here now. And it's hard for me to do that. And I think maybe that has to do with my own nature," he said.
"It also has to do with this career where you're always trying to figure out what's ahead because it's such an uncertain business and a pretty ruthless one. Those kinds of things have conspired to, I think, maybe take me out of where I am, more than I'd like."
The Odyssey, an adaptation of Homer's epic poem, following King Odysseus on his 10-year journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War, also stars Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron.
