Polish tennis champ Iga Świątek shared a glimpse of her tropical getaway with fans on Thursday, after being defeated by Alex Eala at Wimbledon on July 4. The 25-year-old was glowing as she floated on a blow-up lounge in crystal clear waters, clad in a striped bikini.
Iga also shared a photo of herself reading by the beach, and another snap of her holding a stray kitten by the ocean. She wrapped up her Instagram carousel with a selfie alongside her friend, complete with a wide smile despite her recent defeat.
"This is where your email finds me," she wrote in the caption, as fans took to the comment section to share their support.

Iga, who has won six WTA Tour-level Grand Slam singles titles, lost to the 29th-seed Filipina on Saturday, shocking tennis fans worldwide. She opened up about the devastating loss in a press conference after the match, admitting that Alex was the better player on the day.
"I was there to fight. It wasn't enough. For sure I could play a little bit better," Iga said. "But she also played great. She used her chances. She went for it."
© Instagram"In the tie-break, I remember when it was tight, I slowed down a bit," the athlete continued. "She was brave enough to play a bit faster. You need to be brave in Wimbledon to win these points."
"It was hard for me to balance this speed that I have that made me lose some matches this year because I was playing too fast, with being solid. I didn't find that good balance today, and I lost. She played better in important moments," Iga concluded.

"For sure not fish and chips because it’s too heavy," she responded when asked what her favorite pre-game meal was. "But my team has been eating every day like a cheat meal – you know? And I'm just looking at them like: 'Guys, really, that's not helpful.'"
