Anne Hathaway's visit to the Today show got the movie star emotional during a live segment.
On the July 16 airing, Craig Melvin surprised the mother-to-be with a special gift for her upcoming bundle of joy.
The journalist announced: "We wanted to celebrate you. We wanted to celebrate your bun there in the oven, and we got you a baby gift."
Anne immediately got tearful while shouting: "Don't! Don't!"
Craig added: "This is not something you can't find in stores," as Tom Holland interjected: "That is cute. That is double cute," while checking out the present.
The Today team surprised the A-lister with a The Odyssey-themed outfit for her soon-to-be little one, complete with a knitted headpiece, diaper bottom, shoes, and cape.
Craig joked: "When the child comes out, we want the child ready for battle. It is a Trojan outfit, custom-designed for the baby."
Anne inquired: "Who is talented enough to make all of this? Did you do it? That is so sweet."
Craig comically replied: "How did you know? With my own two hands. No, Alex and Lyle from wardrobe would kill me if I took credit."
The journalist also poked at Tom's future child with wife Zendaya, adding: "So Tom, when you have your child, bring [them]."
Tom expressed: "I'll know where to come – right back here." Anne added: "This is appropriately epic. Thank you so much. This is amazing."
Craig concluded: "Congratulations on the film that you've created and the life that you're creating as well."
Anne's big year
It's been a massively successful year for Anne, who's starred in five movies for a 2026 release alone, including The Odyssey, Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The End of Oak Street and Verity.
Craig read a thoughtful comment that someone wrote on social media expressing: "Anne Hathaway having five movies premiering this year, and then announcing that she is pregnant, is the level of productivity that men can't achieve."
Anne joked: "I mean, they are at a disadvantage. It's just a literal truth, but yeah, it went that way. [It's] bonkers. It's wild."
Craig hilariously commented: "I mean that's amazing. You've made everyone else in Hollywood look and feel lazy. A new child coming and five films coming."
Anne candidly shared: "It's wild. It's kind of crazy because look, I've been doing this for a very, very, very long time. I hope to do it for a long time to come and so you just never know."
The actress revealed: "There's peaks, there's valleys, there's everything in between and so it's just crazy to have a time like this where you pull these cards, and the thing that's so exciting is they're films that audiences wanna see."
She added: "One of my favorite things in the world is going to the movies, and so to be a part of something [and] a part of a year where so many people are just excited to go out and experience cinema…and yeah to have this personal thing going on at the same time – it's amazing."
