It was an extra special celebratory day for Anne Hathaway over the weekend!
The actress, 43, attended the 2026 Disney Legends Awards, where she herself was honored as a Disney legend, and had her proud family by her side.
Anne, who is currently pregnant with her third child, wore a white maxi dress with a watercolor flower motif that hugged her bump, and was joined by her husband Adam Shulman and their two sons.
Adam went with a powder blue suit, while their sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, six, both wore cream suits, posing with their parents holding Anne's plaque with her handprints, later seen hugging with the Mickey Mouse character actor.
While the The Devil Wears Prada star has spoken often about parenting and being a mother, she and Adam keep their sons out of the spotlight. In fact, their appearance marks their first high-profile public outing.
Speaking with People at the Disney Legends ceremony, Anne joked that her sons weren't all that interested in her "legend status" with the House of Mouse, and more so with who else would be at the event. "That kind of stuff doesn't really make it past the front door," she quipped.
"It's all fun and everything, but basically, as soon as I pass the threshold, somebody's throwing a football at me or asking me to clean out their backpack or asking me to make them a snack," adding: "So the legend status doesn't really carry any weight with my kids. But they are very excited to meet Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson."
Anne has also spoken candidly about creating personas for herself so as to preserve part of herself for her family and loved ones only. The actress announced in June that she was expecting her third child, although has not shared any other details.
Speaking with Porter in 2023, she reasoned: "It's something I feel is not just essential for my health – I'm on a team, it's my family, and it's not just about me."
"My family has needs, and one of the needs of children is that they need to be able to define their own lives," the Oscar-winning actress continued. "It doesn't even occur to me to link the two up, except through gratitude that they serve each other so beautifully. But they serve each other through me, and not through a space that's outside of myself."
The star has also been open about struggling with infertility. While announcing her second pregnancy with her son Jack, she shared a mirror selfie in which she captioned the post: "For everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love."
In March 2024, she explained to Vanity Fair the thought process behind the post: "Given the pain I felt while trying to get pregnant, it would've felt disingenuous to post something all the way happy when I know the story is much more nuanced than that for everyone."
