Kim Kardashian has shared a series of text messages she exchanged with her grandmother Mary Jo 'MJ' Shannon, shortly before her death.
The Skims founder took to Instagram following the news of MJ's passing on July 16, to share a series of messages between herself, her grandmother and mom, Kris Jenner.
Kris led the messages, which were sent in the "Entire OG family" group chat, by sharing Bible verses. The first message from Kris read: "Psalm 90:17 Lord our God, may your blessings be with us. Give us success in all we do," to which MJ answered: "Amen."
© InstagramThe next day, the famous momager wrote: "Psalm 91:1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find protection in the shadow of the Almighty." MJ responded with a love heart emoji.
Kris sent a third message that read: "Isaiah 63:9 In his love and mercy he redeemed them he lifted them up and carried them through all the years." MJ responded with another "Amen."
© InstagramKim also shared an older text message from her beloved grandmother as part of her social media tribute, one that had particularly touched her.
It read: "Praying my 10 great grandbabies can help fix this poor planet in time and find solutions to climate change and pollution to stop the destruction of this gorgeous earth and have a high purpose for this important moment in time."
© InstagramKris broke the news of her mother's passing on July 16 with a heartbreaking message. She wrote: "Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ. There are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye."
She continued: "My mom was the heart of our family. She taught me everything that truly matters… to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted. She taught us that family is everything.
