Farrah's family life
Mary Ferrah Leni 'Farrah' Fawcett was born on 2 February 1947 to parents James and Pauline Fawcett. She first appeared on screen in late '60s sitcoms and later achieved global success on Charlie's Angels in 1976.
Farrah was married just once, wedding actor Lee Majors in 1973. The pair remained married until 1982. She welcomed son Redmond O'Neal with her then-partner Ryan O'Neal in 1985.

Superstar fame
Charlie's Angels gave Farrah Fawcett a starring role on the international stage as one of three secret agents tasked with missions by the mysterious Charlie.
Roles on The Burning Bed, The Six-Million Dollar Man and Logan's Run mean she's still a favourite today, famous for her acting talent and signature blonde curls that made her a '70s and '80s bombshell.

Celebrated sister
Farrah Fawcett wasn't the only talented creative in the family. Diane Fawcett Walls was Farrah's elder by 9 years, born on 27 October 1938.
Like her younger sister, Diane appeared on the small screen with an interview credit on The Mike Douglas Show, as well as featuring in later biographical documentaries about her famous sibling.

Diane's personal life
Diane was married twice, welcoming a son with both of her husbands. She first wed Jefry Curtis Riggs, tying the knot on 10 May 1957 and welcoming son Jefry Curtis Riggs Jr.
The pair soon separated and Diane remarried in 1966, saying "I do" to Earl Eugene Walls. They welcomed son Greg Walls together and remained married until her death in 2001.

Her sister's legacy
Diane sadly died of lung cancer on 16 October 2001 at the age of 62. Her sister Farrah was diagnosed with cancer five years later, passing away in 2009.
While Farrah tragically fought her own battle with cancer, chronicled in her 2009 documentary Farrah's Story, she always kept her sister close to her heart, beautifully honoring Diane's memory by crafting a bronze sculpture of her titled 'Head of Diane'.
