Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney's love story with photographer Linda is one of the most solid partnerships on Hollywood's history books. They first met in the late '60s when Beatlemania was at its height, and married in 1969.
It was clear enough Linda meant everything to the musician, inspiring songs like 'The Lovely Linda' and 'Maybe I'm Amazed' but she died of breast cancer on April 17, 1998, aged just 56.

Céline Dion
The 'My Heart Will Go On' singer was just 12 years old when she met her manager and future husband René Angélil in 1980. Their relationship moved to a more intimate kind in 1988, the same year as her Eurovision win.
They married in 1994, when Céline was 26 and René was 52. While the public often criticised their relationship, the couple remained together until René's death in 2016.

John Travolta
John Travolta may have been bad boy heartthrob Danny in Grease, but the "only one he wanted" in real life was wife Kelly Preston, whom he married in 1991.
Kelly had a successful Hollywood career in her own right, starring in hit films like Twins and Jerry Maguire Sadly she died at the age of just 57 in 2020, two years after being diagnosed with breast cancer

Michelle Williams
Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger met on the set of Brokeback Mountain in 2004. They were together for three years, falling deeply in love and welcoming daughter Matilda in 2005.
The couple separated in 2007 and the following year Heath died from an accidental overdose at the age of 28.
