Kelly Clarkson found herself dealing with an unexpected wardrobe mishap during her Las Vegas residency on Saturday night, but the singer was quick to laugh off the moment.

The 44-year-old was performing as part of her Studio Sessions residency at Caesars Palace when a gust of wind caught her flowing burnt-orange blouse, lifting the sheer fabric and revealing the black lace bra she was wearing underneath.

Kelly had been chatting to the audience when she suddenly noticed what had happened. "There's a lot of amazing things happening," she began, before interrupting herself and joking: "Uh oh, there's my boobs."

Quickly pulling her cropped blouse back down over her midriff, the former American Idol winner continued to poke fun at the mishap. "They're too small, they won't come out," she joked, before reassuring the crowd: "They're not going anywhere. They're perfect."

The spontaneous moment led Kelly into a story about the Lion's Gate Portal, an astrological event associated with August 8, after friends had apparently encouraged her to be particularly mindful of her words.

"I'm gonna be honest with you, somebody was like, 'It's the Lion's Gate Portal. It's 8/8. There's so much energy out, don't speak negatively,'" she told the audience.

Realizing she'd immediately made a self-deprecating joke, Kelly quickly corrected herself, telling the universe: "Just kidding, universe, my boobs are awesome!"

Kelly's candid conversations with her audience have become a regular feature of her Las Vegas shows, with the singer frequently pausing between songs to share stories and jokes.

She revealed she'd received numerous messages the previous night advising her not to gossip or speak negatively about herself and instead focus on what she wanted to attract into her life. "I was like, shouldn't we be doing this [expletive] every day?" she joked.

Kelly's Las Vegas residency comes during a period of significant change for the singer and her family. She is mom to daughter River, 12, and son Remy, 10, whom she shares with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

Brandon died aged 48 in August 2025 following a battle with melanoma. Kelly and the talent manager separated in 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage, with their divorce finalized in 2022.

Earlier this year, Kelly announced she would be stepping away from The Kelly Clarkson Show after seven seasons in order to spend more time with her children. The decision marks the end of an enormously successful chapter for the singer, whose daytime show premiered in September 2019 and went on to become a major awards contender.

Kelly recently celebrated another achievement when the show received 11 Daytime Emmy nominations for its final season. "Thank y'all so much!" she wrote on Instagram following the announcement. "I'm so stoked for our whole team and feeling very blessed."
