Chasen Joseph Schneider
John Schneider's then-partner Elly Castle welcomed her son, Chasen Joseph Schneider, from a previous relationship on 31 December 1991. John became his adoptive father when the couple married in 1993.
Since then, he's only grown in star status with projects like The Secret Life of the American Teenager between 2008 and 2011. He most recently appeared in 2022's Tres Leches.

Karis Schneider
Karis Schneider was born in 1997, the youngest of John's four children and his only biological child. In 2006, she joined her father on his written and directed project, family film Collier & Co.
The family feature, starring John and his then-wife Elly Castle, follows a former No. 1 race driver who tries to get back on track by opening a used car business and drag racing unsuspecting marks for their pink slips.

Leah Schneider
Leah Castle - often credited under her mother's maiden name or as Leah Schneider - is another of John's children and actually had an earlier start in the industry than some of her siblings. She worked behind the scenes in the camera and electrical department on the hit reality series Project Runway and Project Runway All Stars, and also has a directorial credit for the 2010 short film Jobyna.

Inside his married life
John Schneider first tied the knot with Tawny Little in 1983, separating three years later. In 1993, he married Elly Castle. Together they raised Elly's three children from previous relationships and welcomed their biological daughter, Karis.
He wed Alicia Allain the same year. She sadly passed in 2023 at the age of 53. In 2024, John said 'I do' to his fourth and now-wife Dee Dee Benkie.

Days of early stardom
John starred on The Dukes of Hazzard between 1979 and 1985, and lent his voice to 1983 animated series The Dukes.
With additional roles on Smallville, The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, John has certainly made an impact on the small screen over the years.

What's John Schneider up to now?
He's still acting today and has worked alongside son Chasen on Tres Leches, as well as starring in Where the Heart Lands (2026), short film Cadillac Respect (2026) and Viridian (2025).
There are several more projects in the works for the '80s star. Teen horror Kid Paranormal is reportedly in post-production while biography Of Face Value and thriller The Servant are in the early stages.
