Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are officially husband and wife!
The longtime couple shared on social media that they had quietly tied the knot, debuting a photo of their wedding bands on Instagram, amid prior reports that they were due to tie the knot this weekend in Madeira.
Their post simply featured a shot of the couple with their hands resting on each other's, flashing their gold wedding bands and Georgina's huge engagement ring, with the pair dressed in white.
However, the day has a very special meaning for the newlyweds: it happens to be the one year anniversary of Georgina dropping the news of their engagement, on August 11, 2025.
Per People, the football legend and his new wife tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal on August 11.
Immediately, the post was inundated with congratulatory comments for the couple, and garnered over two million likes within the first 20 minutes of posting.
"Wishing you the most beautiful married life," one fan wrote, with another adding: "Wishing you both a happy life together!" plus: "Our Goat! Congratulations."
Ronaldo, 41, and Georgina, 32, share a blended family that includes six children, three of whom the former welcomed before his kids with his new wife, and the younger three being their own, although Georgina has often said she considers them all her own.
Ronaldo's first child, Cristiano Jr., was born in 2010 via a surrogate, and now his dad's "partner in crime," following in his footsteps as a football player as well. In 2017, he welcomed twins Mateo and Eva through a surrogate. And in November 2017, Ronaldo and Georgina welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Alana.
In October 2021, Georgina and Ronaldo shared they were expecting twins, due in April 2022, however, they suffered the devastating loss of their baby boy on the day he and his sister, Bella, were born.
In her Netflix series Netflix series I Am Georgina, the new bride described the early days of their relationship as a "very special start," adding that the celebrated football player has never shied away from being flashy.
"Many times he'd come after work," she recalled. "He would come, I remember once, once in a Bugatti. My coworkers went crazy. They get there on the bus, and I would leave in a Bugatti. I mean people couldn't believe it."
Georgina was also by her longtime partner's side at the FIFA 2026 World Cup, when Ronaldo's team Portugal was knocked out of the tournament by Spain, and he revealed that this would be his final World Cup appearance.
