Angelina Jolie is looking forward to kickstarting a brand new chapter in her life, now that all of her kids are officially adults.

The actress and humanitarian, 51, shares six kids with ex-husband Brad Pitt, and with the youngest of them, twins Knox and Vivienne, celebrating their 18th birthday earlier this year, it officially ends Angelina and Brad's custody arrangement.

Angelina Jolie opened up about what she hopes to do now that she's leaving Los Angeles

While Angelina retained primary physical custody of their children, she was required to maintain Los Angeles as her primary residence for visitation rights. Now that they're no longer minors, that rule is null and void.

Speaking with L'Officiel recently, the Oscar winner noted that she was making good on her prior promise to leave Los Angeles once that were to happen, and is hoping to spend some time bouncing around countries while focusing on her art collective Atelier Jolie and her philanthropic work.

"I really love and am looking forward to more connection and community," she said of what she hopes to achieve in her new chapter. "I'm not somebody who vacations or shops or things like that. I envision more field work, more travel, and just being out in the world."

"Get my motorcycle back, get back in a plane. I don't know," she said of her big plans, definitely what her children envision. "That's definitely what my kids want! They had Mom when Mom needed to be Mom. Now, they'd like me to call them from Tunisia having just landed a plane to meet with local artists. I agree that would be very nice."

Angelina first began the process of adopting her son Maddox from Cambodia while still married to Billy Bob Thornton, which she went through with after their split. She then adopted Pax and Zahara, and welcomed Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne with ex Brad.

The Mr. & Mrs. Smith actress also explained that she's interested in spending more time abroad to meet with local artisans in the hopes of expanding Atelier Jolie. "The hope for the Atelier was always to be global; Brazil might become the first space that we open outside of the U.S," she added.

"The idea would be to visit the different locations around the world and meet local artists and makers. I'm going to get back to doing more hands-on work with my foundation in Cambodia and my field work."

Angelina continued: "I don't really plan to have a base. I'd like to have a home base for my family, a place where some of the mom stuff and the family photos are. And then I'd like to be a bit nomadic for a while. My home in Cambodia will also be a residency a few months out of the year for Khmer culture."

In 2002, Angelina adopted her son Maddox from an orphanage in Battambang. A year after, she created the Maddox Foundation in his honor, and was even granted honorary citizenship for her work in the country in 2005.
