After Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's youngest two children, twins Knox and Vivienne, finally turned 18 earlier this year, it gave their mom the cue to start a new life.
Angelina, 51, was tied to Los Angeles due to a custody arrangement with her ex-husband Brad, which would continue until the youngest of their six kids turned 18.
© Getty ImagesAnd now that they're officially adults, the Oscar-winning actress is already planning her big move out of LA, telling L'Officiel in a new interview while surrounded by moving boxes that she hopes to be "out of the States more, I think."
Discussing her plans to expand her creative space Atelier Jolie to other parts of the world, she noted that this is the "end of a certain time for me," adding: "I'm going to get back to doing more hands-on work with my foundation in Cambodia and my field work."
"I don't really plan to have a base. I'd like to have a home base for my family, a place where some of the mom stuff and the family photos are. And then I'd like to be a bit nomadic for a while. My home in Cambodia will also be a residency a few months out of the year for Khmer culture."
The actress also proudly spoke about her six kids, sons Maddox, Pax and Knox, and daughters Zahara, Shiloh and Vivienne, and how they're embracing their own passions in adulthood.
Speaking especially of her two oldest sons, who served as assistant directors on her latest film Without Blood, Angelina gushed: "They've worked on a few films that way, and they're both doing other things, too."

When asked if she felt like her children had become "true individuals" as they came into their own outside the spotlight, the proud mom replied: "They're definitely individuals. That makes me very proud, because one of the most important things, I think, is to basically not get in their way."
"As a parent, you try to do many things, but you also try to not get in the way of this human being who has a life separate from yours and so much potential in their own mind. You want to make sure that you support them."
© Getty ImagesAs for what she's most looking forward to now that they're all adults? "I really love and am looking forward to more connection and community. I'm not somebody who vacations or shops or things like that."
"I envision more field work, more travel, and just being out in the world," she continued. "Get my motorcycle back, get back in a plane. I don't know. That's definitely what my kids want!"
