Robin Williams' daughter Zelda Williams, 37, apologized for "triggering" followers with her family's post about an hour after doing so.

In celebration of her late father's "75th year," Zelda pinned her family's statement directly from the comedian's social media account.

Robin passed away on August 11, 2014 at the age of 63, and the family's latest post was the first from his unactive account. He would have turned 75 on his birthday on July 21.

The statement read: "As we recognize what would be our Dad's 75th year, we're grateful to see new generations discovering his work while longtime fans continue to celebrate the joy he brought into their lives."

It continued: "As technology evolves, we want this to be a safe, trusted place where the stories, photos, videos, and memories shared reflect his legacy with authenticity, warmth and care."

The statement concluded: "This is our way of sharing his unique talent and humor with the world, including the moments that made us and so many of you laugh, as we remember our Dad's extraordinary life and work. He continues to inspire us and delight people all over the world. [Signed] Zak, Zelda and Cody Williams."

Zelda reposted it from Robin's Instagram feed, and shortly after, she penned an emotional apology on her personal social media account and took accountability for posting from her dad's platform.

She wrote: "I'm sorry if anyone found Dad's old page posting again to be triggering. Believe me, I know it's a little strange."

Zelda explained: "But making that space into one where people can find authentic clips and photos of him is one of the best ways we've now found to fight back against rampant AI abuse of his voice and likeness on here. Might be a drop in the bucket, but we're trying. Sending you all a big hug on this random Monday."

Robin welcomed his firstborn Zachary "Zak" Williams, 43, with his ex-wife Valerie Velardi, and the duo got divorced in 1988.

In 1989, he got married to Marsha Garces and welcomed Zelda the same year, and Cody Alan Williams, 34 in 1991. The pair called it quits in 2010.

Last summer, Zak paid tribute to his dad, writing: "My father lived to make people feel seen. He gave permission to feel deeply and to laugh through the pain. In his absence, that mission continues."

He continued: "So today, I hold close the idea that the best way to honor those we love is to live the values they stood for. To lead with service and compassion. To lift others when they're down. And to find paths of light, even in the dark corners.”
