George W. Bush looks unrecognizable in his throwback picture from his Texas oil days in the 1970s.
In the black and white shot, the former United States President was spotted taking a business call in his office, while donning a white button-up polo shirt and black pants, while overseeing his first-ever business venture.
Inside George W. Bush's early life
George W. Bush was born in Connecticut, however, he was raised in Texas by his mother Barbara Bush and his father George H. W. Bush, who later became the 41st president of the United States.
Growing up, he attended a college-prep school called The Kinkaid School, as well as a boarding school called Phillips Academy in Massachusetts.
He studied history at Yale University, and then attended Harvard Business School, where he earned a Master of Business Administration.
© Alamy Stock PhotoGeorge entered the United States Air Force and served in the Texas Air National Guard in 1968. In 1974, he was honorably discharged and headed into a new lane.
He launched his own oil company called Arbusto Energy and a few years later, he changed the name to Bush Exploration. He became the chairman when his company merged with Spectrum 7.
George also personally invested half a million dollars in Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers and he served as the managing general partner for half a decade.

George got his political start by running for U.S. House of Representatives, however he lost the election in 1978.
In 1988, he helped his father as a campaign advisor during his re-election campaign in 1992. George became the Governor of Texas in 1995 and served in the role until 2000.

Since retiring, he's enjoyed a slower pace of life in Texas. He often paints and even published two books with his paintings, including Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief's Tribute to America's Warriors, and Out of Many, One, and he's also exhibited his art work at the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
Inside George W. Bush's personal life
George and Laura Bush have been together for decades, and their love story began in 1977, when the duo met at a mutual friend's backyard barbecue.
A few months later, he proposed to her and they got married soon after.
© Getty ImagesIt was love at first sight for George as he recalled the moment he saw Laura, sharing with The Wall Street Journal: "The moment I saw Laura's blue eyes I felt heart palpitations. She was a beautiful, stately woman. A little shy but very engaging."
Laura joked: "I thought George was cute. Mainly he liked to talk and I liked to listen."
The pair welcomed both Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager in 1981.
