Shirley MacLaine has been trying to sell her 7500-acre New Mexico ranch called Plaza Blanca for some time now.
The star has owned the 9,000 square feet hacienda-style home, which is completely off-grid, since 1990.
Initially, the luxurious property was listed for $17,400,000 in November 2025. In March 2026, the price was reduced to $15,500,000. Last month the price once again decreased to $12 million, per Zillow.
Inside Shirley's New Mexico ranch
The house includes seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, and the property is eco-friendly being that it features grid-tied solar plus wind power, as well as a well for fresh water.
The inside features wooden ceilings, a gorgeous sunroom hallway, as well as a small pond in the backyard.
Speaking of the backyard, future residents can have the great outdoors right outside their doorstep, which is a huge selling point.
The listing states: "Plaza Blanca is perhaps best known for its unique white sandstone formations at the ranch's entrance, which rise sharply from the earth to evoke both the surreal and the sublime. These striking 'white place' cliffs were immortalized by the painter Georgia O'Keeffe, who was deeply inspired by the area.
It continues: "This legendary ranch also has thousands of acres of piñion/juniper forest interspersed with native grasses. The ranch offers sweeping views of the surrounding Chama River Valley, with its red rock mesas, distant mountains, and vivid sunsets that fill the sky with a spectrum of colors."
Shirley's thoughts on her New Mexico ranch
Shirley adores her New Mexico ranch, and during the Covid-19 lockdown, she spent her time there, and publicly gushed about it with Page Six, sharing: "[I] Couldn't be happier. I'm out west. I've had this ranch for years. I love nature. I'm here with my animals and housekeeper. And watching what's happening to show business. And wondering what's happening to the world."
The actress explained just how inspired she felt being in the relaxing property, as she added: "Now, today, I'm interested in the beginning of mankind. I'm here at this time reading books and learning how all this started and going into my own interior."
She wisely concluded: "It's my metaphysical language. Totally isolated here, you find your survival, your spiritual meaning."
