Jenna Bush Hager opened up about her surprising celebrity crush during the August 26 episode of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle.
The co-hosts discussed the topic of having a hall pass in your marriage, with the terms referring to a mutual agreement between spouses that allows each partner to have a sexual experience with someone else. Hall passes typically refer to your celebrity crush. "The concept of knowing that your spouse, or boyfriend or girlfriend, has somebody that they have on a pedestal, that's human," said Sheinelle Jones.
Jenna then repealed her hall passes are actor Colin Firth and singer Brandi Carlile. "He's very handsome," she said of Colin, admitting that she's had a crush on him for a while. "It's a vibe, he was also in Bridget Jones, he's British."
"She knows that I have said this, and so does her wife," Jenna said of Brandi. "And also, I've never kissed a woman."
This isn't the first time Jenna has expressed her interest in the singer. During an episode of the show back in May, she admitted that Carlile was the "woman that [she] would leave [her] husband for."
"I’m not sure I ever said it exactly straight out, but she is," she added.
The former First-daughter has been married to her husband Henry Hager since 2008. The couple met in their early 20s when Henry was working with George W. Bush's reelection campaign. The couple share three children – son Hal and daughters Mila and Poppy.
Meanwhile, Sheinelle explained that she has a problem with hall passes due to the nature of her profession. "The problem with this job is that, when you're on a show like this, and you say, 'I used to have a crush on so and so,' they say, so 'would you like to co-host with so and so?'" she said.
Sheinelle shared that this had once happened before with Tyson Beckford, who she used to have pictures of in her locker at school. "My one for now, I'm more of like the auntie in this situation, cougar vibes, but I'm just saying, I think I like a physique and I think I like this one," she added of soccer player Jude Bellingham.
"He's a vibe because in addition to his physique and all the things, he seems like such a really nice guy."
Sheinelle and her late husband, Uche Ojeh, were married for 18 years and shared three children – son Kayin and fraternal twins Clara and Uche.
