There is cause for celebration in the Stallone household as Sylvester Stallone's eldest daughter Sophia has announced her engagement to boyfriend Michael Sheehan.
Sophia, who turned 30 on August 27, revealed the happy news on Instagram on Friday, sharing a series of intimate photographs from Michael's incredibly romantic proposal.
"Forever with my best friend," she simply captioned the post alongside an infinity symbol.
The beautiful black-and-white photographs put Sophia's dazzling diamond engagement ring firmly in the spotlight, with the bride-to-be placing her hand affectionately against Michael's face as the pair kissed.

Sophia looked stunning in a fitted white mini dress and strappy heels, while Michael wore a relaxed blue-grey shirt and cream trousers.
The newly engaged couple later posed together against the nighttime city skyline, with Sophia proudly holding up her left hand to reveal her new sparkler.
The proposal came the night before Sophia announced the news and coincided with her milestone 30th birthday, making the celebrations doubly special.

Sophia's younger sisters were among the first to celebrate the news.
"YAYYYAYY MY FAVORITE PEOPLE!!!!! Crying! So happy I love you both!!!" Sistine, 28, wrote beneath the announcement, while 24-year-old Scarlet declared them "THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FIANCÉES!!!!!!!"

Sophia later posed with her famous parents, Sylvester and Jennifer Flavin, with the 80-year-old Rocky actor beaming beside his eldest daughter as she showed off her new ring.

Any man hoping to join the Stallone family has historically faced a rather intimidating hurdle: meeting Sly.
When Sophia and Sistine were asked about dating during an appearance on Today in 2023, Sophia joked: "Well, we're single, so."
Their father immediately quipped: "I'm hoping they turn out to be spinsters. I'm working on that."
Sophia and Sistine have also revealed that potential suitors have been known to disappear after encountering the Hollywood action hero.
"He's just so scary," Sistine admitted, while Sophia revealed that their father could apparently decide within minutes whether a relationship was going to last.

Michael's elevation from boyfriend to fiancé therefore suggests he has passed one of Hollywood's more formidable father-in-law tests.

Sophia has been remarkably candid about the complicated expectations that can surround relationships, marriage and starting a family.
Her dating life became part of the family's Paramount+ reality series, The Family Stallone, with a second-season episode specifically following Sophia as she confronted her mother over feeling pressured to settle down and have children.
