Kristin Kreuk starred in Smallville as Lana Lang, the high-school crush and the first primary love interest of Superman himself, Clark Kent.
She later married and divorced his arch-nemesis Lex Luthor before absorbing kryptonite radiation, permanently separating her from Clark, allowing Kristin to leave the show in 2008 and explore other opportunities. She returned briefly for a five-episode guest appearance the following year.

Early roles
Kristin also landed the leading role on Canadian series Edgemont as Laurel Yeung when a casting director called up her high school looking for actors. She went on to star in 70 episodes of the show between 2001 and 2005.
The same year she debuted on Edgemont, Kristin lent her voice to an episode of The Weekenders and foreshadowed her future fairytale-inspired fame with a role as Snow White in Snow White: The Fairest of Them All.
These days, the actress is keen to keep her private life out of the public eye. But during the height of her fame, Kristin was in an on-again-off-again relationship with actor Mark Hildreth.
The couple kept their relationship mostly on the down low, but were occasionally spotted together in public. Prior to that, she was linked to Supernatural actor and Smallville co-star Jensen Ackles during her star run on the show.

Stepping away from the spotlight
Kristin briefly stepped away from major projects following her departure from Smallville in 2008, before returning for another mainstream TV role in Beauty and the Beast between 2012 and 2016.
Following her role in the sci-fi series, Kristin starred on Burden of Truth between 2018 and 2021 for a total run of 34 episodes.
